mock up 2
1st March Draft One
This is my first draft of my second film poster. I decided to put my title to the left of the photograph as this was the biggest, darkest background for a white font, which I had deicided to stick to as a theme. This draft was very minimal. Clearly I had a lot to add when creating the second draft, such as tagline, institutions and reviews. Yet once again I was given feedback on this poster and told the font did not communicate the genre.
7th March Draft Two
After downloading the 'Apocalypse' font the poster began to become more obvious in the genre of horror/end of the world. I intoduced the tagline and insitutions paragraph, in the same set up as the first poster. I also was drawn to the TV in the corner of the photograph, I felt it would be a great background for something, perhaps a quote. However I knew I had to include two quotes and therefore it wasn't the ideal place. The feedback I was given told me to add in elements I was missing but was overall positive.
7th March Draft Three
This was only a subtle change since the last draft as I added in my second review and a 12A sticker at the bottom. However I had a problem with both of these aspects, to begin with the quotes were in different places and I felt that was distracting and confusing. I also had a problem with the 12A sticker as I felt it made the poster look like a DVD cover which is not what I want.
8th March Final Draft
This is my final draft of my second film poster. From the last draft I moved the quotations over to one side of the page, I felt this created order to the poster. I also added in the crest of the Cannes short film festival on the background of the TV in the corner. This made the poster look more professional and realistic Along with that I included the institution logos that I had written in the paragraph at the bottom of the poster. This poster was aimed at the 18-25 age range of male and female. However I do feel that this poster highlights the horror/end of the world more than the comedy side as it raises more questions for the audience on the characters and their storylines.
